Carmelo Anthony Eyed by Seven NBA Team

After the news broke out of Carmelo Anthony confirming his decision to use his early termination option from his contract to the New York Knicks, seven teams has already shown interest in drafting him. He has opted out to use his early termination from the team for the 2014-15 seasons to become a free agent. The effectively date was July 1st. He had notified the team that he chose to get out of the $23.5 million deal for the 2014-'15 seasons.

Carmelo Kyam Anthony has played for Denver for 8 years while he is with Knicks for 4 years now. He played for Syracuse College and was commended for Orangemen to their first National Championship in 2003. With this he earned tournament's Most Outstanding Player award. After one season, he left Syracuse to join the 2003 NBA Drafts. He was then chosen as the third pick by the Denver Nuggets. In 2011 he was traded off to the New York Knicks just several days before the trade in deadline.

Among the teams that has been pursuing Anthony are the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers. There are also rumors that the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat are the other teams that could pitch in for Anthony.

Currently, Anthony has a lot of options to choose from giving him a wider scope. Among the more aggressive competitor for Anthony's attention is the Chicago Bulls. According to sources, the Bulls had been quietly planning their strategy to pick up Anthony once he is a free agent.

Anthony agent, Leon Rose said "Carmelo loves being a Knick, he loves the city and he loves the fans, at this stage of his career, he just wants to explore his options."

New Knicks President, Phil Jackson, has tried to convince Anthony to staying with Knicks for his last season with the team. He said that he has been concerned over Anthony's decision to move out from the team. But it seems like the 30 year old forward has already made his decision to look for other options in his field. Anthony has already said that he loves staying in New York but would also love to win an NBA Championship.
