Writer-Director Ned Benson presented this story in two parts and back to back at the Toronto Film Festival: The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Him and "The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Her. It received positive critical reviews and was hailed as groundbreaking work.

James McAvoy, who was last seen in X-Men: Days of Future Past and Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) play lovers whose relationship slowly unravels. The original screenings followed their two perspectives in separate movies.

But when the Weinstein Co. decided to pick up the movie because of its success at The Toronto Film Festival, they decided to fuse the two in one narrative. The combined movie is now entitled The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Them. The film was screened to glowing reviews at the Cannes Film Festival.

The newly released trailer gives viewers a glimpse of what the fuss is all about. "This is a story about a boy who loves a girl. And a girl who loves a boy," the trailer's caption says. "There are two sides to every love story."

Indeed, every moment in the relationship between Conor Ludlow (McAvoy) and Eleanor Rigby (Chastain) can be experienced from their different viewpoints. The trailer shows clips from the movie's fused version, as well as scenes from the original two films, "Him" and "Her."

The trailer starts off with all the rosy promises of new love, but hints at the unraveling that is about to happen. The lovers are shown frolicking in a field, while a narrator ominously says,"Everyone starts out thinking this is forever. But then things get hard."

William Hurt, Viola Davis, and Bill Hader also co-star in the movie. It is set to be screened on September 26. The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Him and "The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Her will arrive in theaters in late fall.
