The ball has started to role for Carmelo Anthony as New York Knicks president Phil Jackson has restated his aspiration to keep the power forward under his team as long as he take less money.

Jackson stated ""He's the one that opened that up that it wasn't about the money, o I challenged him on that because I want our fans to see he's a team player, that he's going to do what was best for this team to get ahead farther and faster."

He continued "It's not going to be an issue. I think there are going to be things that are going to be happening in the near future in the NBA that is going to grow this league monetarily that it's going to end up being a non-issue for us to do that."

It has been said that seven teams are going after the 30 year old basketball player. Among the teams that has been pursuing Anthony are the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers. There are also rumors that the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat are the other teams that could pitch in for Anthony.

Carmelo Kyam Anthony has played for Denver for 8 years while he is with Knicks for 4 years now. He played for Syracuse College and was commended for Orangemen to their first National Championship in 2003. With this he earned tournament's Most Outstanding Player award. After one season, he left Syracuse to join the 2003 NBA Drafts. He was then chosen as the third pick by the Denver Nuggets. In 2011 he was traded off to the New York Knicks just several days before the trade in deadline.

Latest news reports say that Anthony has made a decision to meet the Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets. But this will only happen on July 1st.

New Knicks President, Phil Jackson, has tried to convince Anthony to staying with Knicks for his last season with the team. He said that he has been concerned over Anthony's decision to move out from the team.

But Jackson still has hope that Anthony will be "true to his words" with regards to accepting a smaller amount money so that his team can bid for him.
