Derrick Rose has said it. He will not have any hand for the recruitment of star player and new free agent Carmelo Anthony to the Chicago Bulls.
It has been said that the Chicago Bulls are courting the 30 year old forward to their team. Melo will officially become a free agent this coming July 1 and a lot of teams has their eyes on him.
Rose has already told news reporters that he don't not have any plans on helping Chicago Bulls to recruit Anthony as this is not his job. According to Rose "My thing is if they want to come, they can come."
He added "I love Melo's game. He's a great player. Takes the game serious. He's consistent. He shoots the ball great. I love his heart."
The 25 year old point guard of Chicago Bulls has said that "I can play with anybody, no matter who it is. I believe I can play with anyone if they step on the court with me."
With regards as to when Rose will be playing again, he said that he expects to be ready by the next NBA season but still has not decided whether he will try out for the USA Basketball team for the World Cup. According to him "I still don't know yet."If I'm feeling right and the time is [right], for sure I will go out there. My body is responding good, but you never know."
Rose injured his right knee during a game against the Portland Trail Blazers last November 22, 2013. MRI results showed that Rose tore his right knee meniscus which needed surgery. During the day Rose underwent surgery, was the same day that Bulls announce that he was also out for the season. He was gone out of the surgery successfully.
With regards to joining the Basketball World cup he said "Right now, I haven't really thought about that. I am just worrying about just trying to get back every day and I'm really taking rehab one day at a time instead of trying to think about competing."
For now, Rose is really hoping that he will be able to play in the next season of NBA. All fingers crossed in seeing him in the next playoffs.
