Dozens of people were stranded 200-feet atop SeaWorld San Diego's Revolving Skytower after the ride got stuck for hours on Sunday due to power outtage.

At least 46 people, including two SeaWorld employees were on board the ride that features a revolving capsule that rises up to 320-feet to the sky, according to the Associated Press.

City fire spokesman Lee Swanson confirmed the devastating news and clarified, "The guests were never in danger and park officials were in constant communication with them while the power failure was being addressed. Two SeaWorld employees were also in the Skytower providing guests with water and snacks."

In an interview with Reuters, Swanson said, "We were standing by in case we were needed but we weren't."

Park spokesman David Koontz released a statement and said, "We greatly appreciate the patience of our guests, and they received return admission and other park amenities."

After several hours, power was restored and the ride descended safely at around 7:30 in the evening, FOX News confirmed.

Luckily, no one was injured following the incident but a 17-year-old was immediately brought to a hospital after suffering from anxiety attack.

As of late, officials are investigating the actual cause of the said power outage.

None of the visitors who were on board the ride commented regarding the issue but SeaWorld received a slew of comments on Twitter.
