"Game of Thrones" season 5 cast Liam Cunningham has no idea what will happen to the upcoming series as he admitted to not reading George R.R. Martin's books. The Ireland set for the HBO hit series is bringing in tourists including Queen Elizabeth II.
"Game of Thrones" season 5 cast Liam Cunningham plays Ser Davos Seaworth, the right hand man of Stannis Baratheon, and he told Sydney Morning Herald that he has yet to receive the script for the fifth season.
When the publication told him that he has become a fan favorite, the 53-year-old actor playfully admonished the reporter, "stop saying things like that you'll put thoughts in people's minds."
"What if George (R.R. Martin) sees this, and he's in a bad mood? Anything could happen," he said.
Although he described his character as principled and decent, "Knowing this show, anything could happen - he could turn into a serial killer in the next series."
"Game of Thrones" season 5 cast Liam Cunningham has reasons to be worried as George R. R. Martin promised in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the "Winds of Winter" will have more deaths and more battles.
"I think we're gonna start out with a big smash with the two enormous battles," Martin said, revealing that one of the skirmishes is between Stannis Baratheon and Ramsay Bolton.
Meanwhile, the SMH said that Ireland has been undergoing a tourism boom as a result of the "Game of Thrones" series as more than three quarters of production is filmed in Titanic Studios in the north, previously known for violence and insurgency.
Northern Ireland hoped that through the show, it can increase its tourism arrival to over 2 million from the 1.8 million last year, it said.
One of the tourists who dropped by the set was Queen Elizabeth II who was accompanied by her husband, Prince Phillip, E! Online reported.
