The style icon and former reality star got married to long-time boyfriend Johannes Huebl in an intimate ceremony in in Bedford, New York, on June 28, 2014.
"We really wanted to keep this beautiful day very private and special to us and enjoyed the whole day with our family and two friends. Bedford is such an amazing and romantic countryside," Palermo said on her website.
Palermo's beautiful and intimate wedding reflected her sophisticated and understated style. In an interview that appeared in the June/July issue of Brides magazine, she talks about her wedding style "First, I'll consider what the venue is and what the feel is," she shares. "But no matter where I marry, you're not going to see me in a huge cupcake dress. As beautiful as they are, they're just not me."
In the same interview, the 28-year old also revealed that she might play around with color in the shoes that she will plan to wear. "A great pair of shoes, always - Aquazzura is a favorite. I love a white stiletto, and it's very on trend right now, but that may be where I do color," she says.
On her wedding day, Palermo did look anything but a traditional bride. She put together a Carolina Herrera cashmere sweater, a pair of white shorts, and a full skirt with a high slit.
As for her hair and makeup, she wanted to keep things fresh and sophisticated. Her hair was in an easy pony tail, and soft, natural colors complemented her face. "I wanted the makeup to be light and fresh and more focused about the lashes while keeping the eyes clean. my hair was in an uncontrived pony tail," she reveals.
For her shoes, the fashionista chose a pair of deep blue Manolo Blahniks.
The groom was looked equally elegant in a bespoke tailored white Marc Anthony Hamburg suit and March Anthony Hamburg piquet shirt, complemented with a navy Charvet tie.
Only a family and a handful of close friends witnessed the ceremony, which was accented with ivy and blossoming flowers in a private park in Bedford.
