Robin Williams is back in rehab, not because he's fallen off the wagon, but just to continue being the sober success he's been for the past several years.
"After working back-to-back projects, Robin is simply taking the opportunity to fine-tune and focus on his continued commitment, of which he remains extremely proud," a rep for Williams told the Daily News.
"The Crazy Ones" star has previously been open about his struggles with addiction. The actor relapsed while filming the 2005 movie "The Big White" after maintaining sobriety for 20 years, according to NY Daily News.
He battled substance addiction abuse during his rise to fame on the 1978-1982 sitcom "Mork and Mindy," according to People magazine.
"Cocaine for me was a place to hide. Most people get hyper on coke. It slowed me down," Williams told People back in 1988.
The 62-year-old will be staying at the Hazelden Addiction Treatment center in Minnesota to continue his sobriety, according to TMZ.
Williams is reportedly enrolled in a program called The lodge, which is described on the facility's website as a structure that will "immerse you in the Twelve Step design for living that can inform and transform every aspect of your life."
