Robin Williams checks himself into a rehab center for the second time in an attempt to maintain his sobriety.

The 62-year-old "Mrs. Doubtfire" actor submitted himself to a rehab facility that is affiliated with the 12-step program that will last for a couple of weeks.

Williams' representative clarified that his client is not currently dealing with any drug or alcohol problems, rather, he simply wants to keep his health in check after 20 straight months of working on big projects.

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Williams' representative said, "He has been working hard and now has a break in his schedule, so he wants to come back and be the best that he can be. This is his version of a retreat."

The representative told TMZ in a separate interview that Williams will be checking himself at the Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center in Minnesota.

"After working back-to-back projects, Robin is simply taking the opportunity to fine-tune and focus on his continued commitment, of which he remains extremely proud. This is not about him falling off the wagon. It's like an educational and spiritual facility, it's all very healthy."

Meanwhile, Williams has been very vocal with his alcohol and cocaine addiction in the past. In the early 1980s, "The Dead Poets Society" star quit cold turkey. He then maintained his sobriety for 20 years but eventually fell off the wagon in 2006. At that time, Williams checked himself into rehab and came out a renewed man, according to the Daily Digest News.

At that time, he spoke with "Good Morning America" and shared, "It's hard admitting it, once you've done that, it's real easy. You think people don't notice. Then you find out later, 'We knew... You went outside naked.' No, I didn't. But even the dog was like, 'What's wrong, boy?' Humiliation gives you humility."

He added, "Addiction waits. It lays in wait for the time when you think, 'It's fine now, I'm OK.' Then, the next thing you know, it's not OK."
