How To Tell If You’re A Serious K-Drama Fan

This article could have been titled "How To Tell If You're Addicted To K-Dramas" but addiction is an ugly word. And seriously, we can all quit whenever we want to, right?

So let's just say that if you answer yes to more than three of these questions, you know you are serious about your k-dramas. How serious?

You know you are a serious k-drama fan when:

1. You know that F4 is not just a computer key/command.

2. Every time you have a cappuccino you wonder if Hyun Bin might come along and wipe the foam from your upper lip.

3. You find yourself saying Korean words (and getting funny stares from the people who hear them).

4. You start to expect shower scenes in everything you watch on the small screen. Why can't the plots of American TV shows fit in a good shower scene every now and then?

5. You no longer think it's odd that characters meet several times during their lifetime because certain people are fated to be together.

6. You have started to think of the wrist grab as a sign of affection. Before you might have seen it as rude.

7. You find yourself wanting to visit Korea. And yes, there are plenty of beautiful palaces to visit, but secretly you imagine the streets are full of beautiful k-celebs.

8. Lee Min Ho has become your idea of the ideal man.

9. You can't understand why a non-Korean show will go on for another season. Should they not have wrapped up the plot line already?

10. No program is complete without a love triangle. Any character can fall in love with or be loved by one other character but for things to get truly interesting, should there not be at least three people involved in a complicated love story?

11. You expect buses to stop when people chase after them.

12. You expect people to forgo calling for an ambulance and carry the wounded to a hospital. Hint: This is a bad idea in real life.

13. You assume that people will forgive you for bad behavior while you were drunk. Hint: this is also a bad idea in real life. Drunken behavior in k-dramas allows characters to act in funny and uncharacteristic ways. They may get in situations that the script can later rescue them from. But in real life, it could get you in trouble that's not so easy to get out of.

14. You have come to believe that all rich people are evil. Well, maybe some of them are. But certainly not all of them.

15. You long for a piggyback ride or at the very least a back-hug and you may have to explain this longing to your significant other.

How many of these can you own up to? Let us know how you scored. Here at Kdramastars we are pretty serious about our dramas and guilty of almost all of them.
