"Yes, fortunately for us, Paul is like Vieira," said French team mate Yohan Cabaye.

Paul Pogba, the 21-year-old Juventus midfielder is now more than ever, a great attainment for France's upcoming match against World Cup rivals, Germany.

Likewise, Patrick Vieira, a youngster from the World Cup has celebrated and contributed much with the team's vetrans into a championship level frenzy way back in 1998.

"He is very important for the team dynamic and we just enjoy playing together with him. That unity is the best way for us to progress as far as we can," added Cabaye.

The 60- million- British- pound player was hailed as the man of the match from their most previous game against Nigeria, which ended the African's journey in the World Cup. For this match, Pogba has also proved his prowess that has been steadily getting better through the years.

"Paul deserved to be man of the match against Nigeria and to score because he is a very good footballer," said Cabaye.

"He keeps his confidence even though he has been getting a lot of criticism. He stays relaxed and he knows the team is with him.

"He showed what he can do on the pitch and it is the best way to give a response to those who criticize him."

The star player form Les Bleus is also confident about their upcoming quarter finals match with the Germans.

Pogba said, "We're not afraid of Germany, why would be? We are the French national team we are not afraid of anyone. Any team we play we are going to play to win and give everything.

"Of course it would be a fantastic match to play Brazil in the semi-final but first we must win the quarter-final. There is a lot of solidarity that is the strength of the group. I wish I could share my man of the match with everyone."

France earned their recent World Cups during their 1998 and 2006 campaign, but they have been drastically booted just from the group stage in the years 2002 and 2010.
