The weaknesses of Jurgen Klinsmann's ability as head coach come into question. It seemed disappointing to have Klinsmann take the position of Bob Bradley in July 2011 as the USA team's coach, given the disappointing performance the latter showed.
The widening difference between the performances of United States and Mexico has disappointed a lot of fans and sports experts alike.
Klinsmann admitted that something must have been wrong with the USA team, since it won a national competition once, but failed to do so in other nationally-recognized games. Klinsmann thought that the USA team might have taken things for granted by being lenient and not pushing efforts to upgrade their ability to the next level, on a regular basis. The coach took responsibility of how his players lax it out in putting efforts during matches.
Klinsmann's comments were to be expected. The coach obviously took notice of the flaws his team showed, and was more than willing to make up for the mistakes he committed to rectify things and score successful winning strikes to make avoid having his team getting left behind in comparison with other leading teams in the World Cup. The coach dreaded the losses that the team may ultimately incur along the way.
Klinsmann seemed to have valued heavily the competition at the World Cup. He thought it was ridiculous to value other matches, when obviously, the massive population and sports experts value the World Cup amongst all the other national games. Expect Klinsmann to put additional efforts in preparing his team for the World Cup, and not on other national tournaments.
