Neymar set to Play against Colombia amidst Injury Rumor

22 year old Brazilian superstar Neymar has pick up left thigh and right knee injuries during their penalty match against Chile for a chance to move forward to the quarter finals of the world cup. According to Brazil spokesman Rodrigo Paiva "The worst is the knee - it's what's hurting the most."

He added "He will be evaluated again, but team doctor Jose Luiz Runco said fans don't have to worry because he's not a concern for the match" and said that Neymar may be rested from training if needed.

Brazil's head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari seconds the statement of their spokesperson saying "We will do our best to put him on the pitch. Neymar needs to be valued for what he did because it was a big effort." He continued "He played 75 minutes of the match after a strong hit on the thigh and we couldn't understand how somebody hits with that strength and gets no card."

Neymar was seen having his right knee strapped up and spent a long period of the session watching from the sidelines. But the star is making great progress in his recovery from his injury and will be able to play with his team against Colombia at Fortaleza.

Neymar talked to reporters in Brazil's training session at their Teresopolis base "I am able to play against Colombia. I have no pain. I feel very well trained and rest assured, I'm fine."

He also said at the Brazilian Foodtabll Association website "The game against Chile was exciting for everyone. But the team does not have any emotional problem in the group."

When asked about the burden of being the face of the Brazilian team he answered "I do not feel burdened with the obligation to be the highlight. I have colleagues who help me. Some win the ball, others give passes, others score goals. We are a team."

He continued "It's not about one player. Here the important thing is that Brazil is champion."

Brazil still has a tough completion ahead of them before they go to the finals. Their home country is expecting a lot from them knowing that the World Cup is hosted by them.
