"Once Upon A Time" will include Frozen's well-loved character, Elsa, into its upcoming seasons and the person who will be portraying the role has already been named.
"Fringe's" Georgina Haig has been tapped to play the role of Frozen's Queen of Arendelle, more popularly known as Elsa, according to TV Guide.
Haig has also starred in "The Sapphires," where she portrayed the role of Etta, TIME noted.
Besides from Haig, "Once Upon A Time" has also cast several other newcomers into the series, including Scott Michael Foster who will be portraying the role of Kristoff and Elizabeth Lail, who will be portraying the role of Anna, E! News reported.
In last season's finale, an urn that was hidden away in Rumplestiltskin's vault was transported to the future. The urn included Elsa and now audiences of the show are wondering whether or not the character will become a villain in the upcoming season.
However, such thoughts were instantly shunned by Edward Kitsis, executive producer of "Once Upon A Time."
In an interview with TV Guide, he said, "She was never a villain. Executive producer Adam Horowitz added, "The thing we loved so much about that movie, among a million other things, was that Elsa was misunderstood."
When asked whether or not the series will have similarities with the extremely popular film, Horowitz dished to E! News, "Well, it's funny, we're not going to redo the movie, because we just don't feel like it's in anyone's interest for us to redo it."
"But what we're going to do, we're not ready to tell you. But what we can say is we're very aware of what we think makes this character from Frozen so special and we want to honor that and make sure that what we do is in the universe of everyone who fell in love with it this past year."
