It's another breakthrough for "Pretty Little Liars" star Ashley Benson. Apart from being the new face on H&M's Divided Line campaign, she will now star in a comedy film with no other than Adam Sandler.
Sony's "Pixels", a film by Chris Columbus and penned by Tim Herlihy and Tim Dowling, is about aliens who think that the video feeds from a video game call for a war. In response to the video feeds, they head to Earth to attack and invade it. The action-comedy movie is based on Patrick Jean's short film that depicts the popular 80s video game characters attacking New York.
Benson, who currently portrays Hanna Marin in "Pretty Little Liars", is working with Sandler. Kevin James, Josh Gad, and Peter Dinklage also star in the film. She will portray the role of a beautiful warrior from the fictional 80s Dojo Quest.
It wasn't Benson's first movie in the big screen. She also starred in the film "Spring Breakers" with Vanessa Hudgens and James Franco.
Currently, the "Pretty Little Liars" actress is busy with the new campaign of H&M's Divided Line. The Swedish clothing company has released photos of her wherein she was wearing white short shirt dress with Tres Mignon emblazone, carrying with her a lips-shaped hot red purse. Benson also has guest appearance in the TV series, "Ravenswood".
"Pixels" is slated on May 15, 2015 and produced by Sandler and Columbus along with Mark Radcliffe and Allen Covert. Barry Bernardi, Michael Barnathan, Jack Giarraputo, Heather Parry, Steve Koren, Benjamin Darras, Johnny Alves, Matias Boucard, Seth Gordon, and Ben Waisbren.
Sandler will portray the role of Sam Brenner, a video game expert in the 80s and will help President Will Cooper, will be played by Kevin James, to save the world using video game. Brenner leads the video game team, with Dinklage and Gad as old-school arcaders, to defeat the aliens using the skills in video games.
