A nanny in California has made headlines by refusing to move out of the house of the family that fired her.
64-year-old Diane Stretton reportedly claims that she wasn't fired and that in fact, she quit, according to Yahoo News.
The nanny, who was found living in her car at a police station, also reportedly claimed that she worked 90 straight days without a day off or even a coffee or lunch break while helping Marcella and Ralph Bracamonte care for their three children in their Upland home.
The family that hired Stretton spoke on their horror story regarding the nanny.
The Bracamontes reportedly claim that they hired Stretton as a live-in nanny in early March in exchange for room and board, but she stopped working earlier this month because of physical ailments.
To add to the horror story, when Stretton allegedly refused to come out of her room except to eat, the Bracamontes reportedly fired her and asked her to leave. However, the family claims that Stretton refused to leave and even went as far as threatening to sue them for elder abuse and improper firing.
"I think they're the con artists," Stretton told KNX radio station.
Marc Cohen, a lawyer for the Bracamonte family, told ABC News, "The family is deeply disturbed and absolutely denies all of those statements. It's absolutely not true."
Stretton left the Bracamontes' home on Thursday, but has yet to move her stuff out. She reportedly sent an email to Cohen over the weekend, explaining conditions for removing her possessions and leaving the home for good by July 4.
During the nanny's conflict with the family, the recent horror story has been explained through Stretton's sketchy past.
She reportedly has a long history of litigation and is listed on California's Vexatious Litigant List, which includes people who have been found to bring legal action that is frivolous or repetitive.
