Comedian Katt Williams was previously involved in an alleged gun threat, which he vehemently denied.
Multiple sources revealed that Williams pulled a gun on a stranger near the Comedy Store in West Hollywood on Wednesday, according to the Fan Bolt said.
Police officials initially confirmed that they received a 911 call from an unnamed person about a man with a gun at around 2 a.m.
Sgt. Dave Valentine said, "Williams got involved in a verbal argument with somebody else up there and apparently that argument moved down the street where he allegedly pulled a gun on somebody."
The 40-year-old comedian was not at the scene when police officers arrived. Valentine explained, "Williams is being investigated, preliminarily, for threatening someone with a weapon. He wasn't performing. He was just there, but he was gone when we arrived. The victim filed a report. Obviously, we'd like to hear Mr. Williams' side of the story. We're not sure if it was a heckler. If we get a call from a man with a gun, we're sending everyone we have," Chron reported.
Meanwhile, Williams, who had several other run-ins with the law, was previously arrested in 2012 on possession of child endangerment and possession of a stolen firearm. The case was eventually dismissed last year, the LA Times reported.
Following his most recent case, Williams denied that he handled a weapon and confirmed that he was the one threatened and assaulted by gang members at the club, TMZ said.
Eyewitnesses told the publication that Katt was inside the club when hecklers started making fun of him, specifically his height and race. The witness said Williams was ticked off and went crazy, eventually threatening the heckler with a gun.
As of late, no arrest has been made and no warrants have been issued but investigation is still currently ongoing.
