Brazilian soccer legend Pelé and Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe made local children happy in Rio de Janeiro's Jacarezinho favela by donating a soccer pitch by Hublot, the acting timekeeper at the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil. Hublot did this by establishing work cooperation with the Department of Social Assistance and Human Rights and FGMF & Rosenbaum's architecture to make the new project possible.
Jacarezinho in Rio de Janeiro is customized to make the environment child friendly for various activities. The project, referred to as Tamo Junto Jacarezinho, make children-family bonding times possible, such as picnics and other outdoor activities.
Brazilian artist Romero Britto, conceptualized a football for the Hublot Loves Football campaign, engraved on the walls for the children to enjoy. "Every time we do a partnership we have some charity aspect," according to Guadalupe, referring to the Hublot palace, or the Orla Copacabana hotel, where more than 1,000 clients of the FIFA World Cup stayed. He explained, "We always want to do something for the children and the young people. The idea was to give the money to do it, but it's really a project of the favela, and afterward, the people will take care of it themselves."
The guests at the world-class hotel absolutely loved the first-class treatment they were able to get during their entire stay in the establishment. The gusts felt that their efforts were well-rewarded by getting the pampering services they desire in accompaniment of this important legendary sports event they have been anticipating for a long time.
