The "Doctor Who" Season 8 teaser trailer revealed a familiar villain as the world tour of the BBC show officially kicks off in Cardiff on August 8.

The "Doctor Who" season 8 teaser trailer shows the latest incarnation of the Time Lord, played by Peter Capaldi, trapped in the tardiff while explosions surround him.

The unseen villain with a robotic voice then hisses: "I see into your soul Doctor. I see beauty, divinity, hatred!"

According to DigitalSpy, the "Doctor Who" season 8 teaser trailer seems to suggest that the Daleks are returning.

The extremely intelligent Daleks are considered to be the Doctor's most difficult foe, as they exist only for one thing: eliminate all life in the universe. Although the Doctor has managed to thwart most of their plans, the Daleks, led by Davros, still keep on coming back.

Meanwhile, the "Doctor Who" season 8 world tour officially kicks off with a premiere screening Cardiff on August 8 while the rest of the world will have to wait until August 23, the website revealed.

According to South Wales Evening Post, the "Doctor Who" world tour is the largest promotional tour of the series following its 50th anniversary celebration last year.

The publication quoted Amanda Hill, chief brands officer of BBC Worldwide, as saying that "Doctor Who" represents British creativity at its best and they are very excited to bring new doctor Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman and Steven Mofatt to the world stage.

"This tour is something normally reserved for Hollywood blockbusters but with 'Doctor Who' it appears you can do anything you dream of and continue to challenge what's perceived as the norm in TV," she said.

New doctor Peter Capaldi will lead the "Doctor Who' world tour will kick off in Cardiff in Welsh then London in UK, Seoul in South Korea, Sydney in Australia, New York in the US, Mexico, and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, the show's website revealed.
