NBC network aired a special two-hour show on Sunday that featured Miley Cyrus' "Bangerz" tour concert held in select parts of the world. However, the show failed to impress critics and even received very low ratings.

Multiple sources confirmed that Cyrus' competitors received much greater viewership on Sunday after the "Wrecking Ball" singer only received approximately two million viewers, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Prior to the show's airing, Cyrus teased fans on what they could expect from the show. Using her extremely popular social media channels, Cyrus wrote, ""Smilers! NBC is bringing #BANGERZTour straight to your living room! Catch the 2-hour behind the scenes special on July 6 at 9pm/8pm CT!"

In a previously-released teaser, Cyrus was featured preparing for her shows. At one point she said, "When they're there and I see the faces, I feel like they're learning... and they feel safe in there. I think my fans feel safe in that room with me; I feel like they think that I'm sort of a leader and I'm giving them that push to go forward," the Daily Beast noted.

Meanwhile, several publications released a rundown of Sunday night's ratings. NBC's competitor, CBS, aired a new episode of "Big Brother" season 16 that averaged approximately 60 million viewers - a massive jump from Cyrus' two million. Overall, CBS also aired the top show overall with "60 Minutes" but the network failed to impress their audiences with "Reckless" at four million, Hit Flix reported.

ABC Network's best was "Rising Star" that only averaged around 4.3 million viewers. Overall, it was still CBS that received the highest viewership average at 6.1 million followed by ABC with 4 million, NBC with 2.3 million and FOX with 2.1 million.

Meanwhile, ABC topped CBS in the 18-49 age group with 1.1 rating, followed by CBS with 1.0, FOX with 0.9 and NBC with 0.7, the Hollywood Reporter noted.
