Solange Knowles attacks Jay Z went viral in a few minutes after a video of the fight was posted on the Internet. Now, for the first time, Beyoncé's sister has finally ended her silence and has decided to speak about this incident.
Solange Knowles attacks Jay Z was something that Solange refers to as "that thing." She insisted that any negative feelings that she used to have towards her brother-in-law have long been forgotten. She spoke to Lucky magazine about the elevator video that was trending, several minutes after the video was leaked, all over the world. She said, "What's important is that my family and I are all good. What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that."
The video showed Solange, 28 years old, mercilessly attacking Jay-Z with her hands, feet, and even if the video did not have sound, it would be expected that she was also screaming his head off at the time. Jay-Z was obviously trying to dodge Solange's attempts to hurt him, with Beyoncé just standing beside him doing nothing at all.
They were at New York's Standard Hotel after they attended a Met gala. It was seen in the raw footage that another man, who appeared to be a bodyguard, was trying to hold Solange down, but she still managed to get out of his hold as she gave Jay-Z blow after blow with her hands and even with the purse that she was holding.
The trio then released a statement about the Solange Knowles attacks Jay-Z incident the following day. The statement said, "As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage form Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But, the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."
