But #Ramadan Problems are now exposed on the Internet to let people know about the effects of fasting; it is also a medium of creating awareness about the Ramadan season. A little bit of social networking goes a long way whey you're hungry: 'Happy Fasting' is another term that is widely used during the Ramadan season
This is one of the most common statements with the hashtag #Ramadan Problems: "I'M SORRY FOR WHAT I SAID WHEN I WAS HUNGRY." Most of the comments on #Ramadan Problems are humorous and they are about sharing the difficulties related to the often painful ordeal.
One report showed a person who was about to begin his fast, but he wanted to consult his doctor first. Others reveal how fasting can put heart patients and diabetics at risk. Scores of information on social networking sites discuss weight loss during Ramadan. But most people on Twitter and Instagram which have the most #Ramadan Problems hashtags describe how regular folk go through the ordeal of fasting. One man said it was like seeing food everywhere; when you look at people, it looks like food.
"It's about Muslims who are fasting who don't take themselves too seriously," says Uzma Atcha from Dubai, who has been using the hashtag, "It sort of shows the world that we're regular people - we go through the same struggles," reports BBC.
The countries that use the #Ramadan Problems hashtag the most are the UK, U.S. Canada, Pakistan and UAE. #Ramadan Problems has been on the Net for a while, but it practically took center stage on the Twittersphere in 2014.
