Get ready for the latest "Avengers 2" spoilers! This time, we will get some juicy details from the director himself, Joss Whedon, as he talked about his inspiration for the sequel, the plot of the movie, and the characters.

The cast and crew are currently in the UK to shoot some scenes. In fact, a behind-the-scenes video was leaked online. It showed Thor raising his hammer and he was later on joined by Captain America and Tony Stark. There were also a group of recruits jogging in the area like they were training for something.

"The Avengers: Age of Ultron" is still more than eight months away before its release date, but fans just can't wait to hear more "Avengers 2" spoilers. Total Film was able to catch up with Joss Whedon for a short interview and he revealed a lot of exciting things.

The 50-year old filmmaker said, "The model I'm always trying to build from is The Godfather: Part II, where a ton has happened in between and it's a very different movie, but you don't need any information... You're in the vernacular of the first movie and you're ready to just pick up in this new place."

So does this mean that those who weren't able to watch "The Avengers" won't have a hard time figuring out what happened when they watched the second installment? That's quite interesting. Whedon also revealed, "There will be a sci-fi element to it that's stronger than the other film. Furthermore, it is little bit darker."

Are you eager to hear more "Avengers 2" spoilers? The director said that Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) will have an integral role in the movie while War Machine (Don Cheadle) will have a key role in the battle with Ultron.

Whedon also revealed that Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) will return in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron", but her co-agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) won't be appearing in the film. Another notorious character that we will all miss is Loki (Tom Hiddleston), who was the villain in the first "Avengers" movie.

In an interview with EW.com, Hiddleston tried to explain why we won't see his character in the "Avengers: Age of Ultron". He said, "Here's the thing, I don't think there's anything else Loki could contribute to The Avengers, narratively. Joss gave me so many wonderful things to do in that first film that we'd only be trying to repeat ourselves, and probably less well in the second one."

He has a point; it's Ultron's time to shine as the villain this time. What do you think of the latest "Avengers 2" spoilers? We will share more details before it hits the UK theaters on April 24, 2015 and the US theaters on May 1, 2015.
