Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin split has been in the news since the pair has announced their "conscious uncoupling" early this year. The Coldplay singer revealed in an interview with BBC Radio that he ditched vegetarianism after his break up with Gwyneth Paltrow.
"I am not really vegetarian," says Martin. "I eat meat. I was vegetarian for a long time but, for various reasons, I changed. My daughter has been a vegetarian since she was born. I keep getting tempted to go back to vegetarianism but I don't eat too much meat."
"The honest answer why I changed is because I thought you can only eat something that you should be able to kill," he added. "I mean, could you kill a fish? I wouldn't like it but I probably could eat the fish . . . or a giraffe."
Paltrow has been vocal about not eating red meat for 20 years. According to NY Daily News, the actress told The Guardian last year that she adopted this practice from pal Leonardo DiCaprio.
According to E! News, Martin also shared about his life after the break up.
"You can choose your paths in life, I find, when you get to a point where you're like, 'I could either jump off a bridge or I could try and turn this around,'" the single star said. "I'm sure lots of people have that in much harder instances. You just find the right tools."
Paltrow and Martin's settlement have been going around the news lately and the two have not been fighting as much since their split earlier this year according to a report cited by Hollywood Take.
"Seeing Chris adjust so well to single life must have been a big wake up call to Gwyneth," an insider told LOOK Magazine. "They have been spending much time together recently and it sounds like the pair have stopped fighting. Having that space apart will have given them both a chance to reflect on how each other behaved in the relationship."
Paltrow and Martin have two kids, Apple, 10, and Moses, 8.
