New Harry Potter Story: The renowned author of the Harry Potter series publishes a new story about the beloved boy wizard. Accordin to E! News, J.K. Rowling has given fans an update on Harry Potter, nearly seven years after she wrote the final book of the seven-part wizard series. Reportedly, this is the first time Rowling has written about thses beloved characters as adults since the final Potter book, which likely explains why the website crashed intermittently Tuesday morning. The story can be found in her website Pottermore.

Reportedly, the story tells of Harry Potter and his friends' reunion at the Quidditch World Cup Finals that coincides with the World Cup in Brazil.

According to Time, the story is written as a "gossip column dispatch from Potter character Rita Skeeter in the Daily Prophet, Harry is now a thirty-something with a mysterious cut on his cheek, as well as "a couple of threads of silver" in his hair. He is also married to Ron Weasley's sister, Ginny Potter, who is now a journalist." Ron is married to Hermione Granger.

The article give a glimpse of the three friends who are now working together in the Ministry of Magic, though Ron exchanged the job to "co-manage the highly successful wizarding joke emporium Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes." Meanwhile, Hermione - "the femme fatale of the group," according to Skeeter - is the deputy head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

According to E! News, Rowling's rep says she will not write more Harry Potter stories.

"Rowling has always been deeply critical of Britain's tabloid media, electing to appear at the recent Levenson inquiry into press standards. The fact Ginny isn't present, therefore, and the suppositions drawn from that are likely to be a veiled critique of a malicious press, rather than actual narrative fact," Luke Karmali of IGN News reported.
