"Iron Man" cast Robert Downey Jr. announced on Wednesday that he and his wife Susan is expecting a baby girl as their second child. The "Sherlock Holmes" leading actor also revealed that he wanted to be a human rather than a hero in his child's eyes.
In a tweet, "Iron Man" cast Robert Downey Jr., announced that he and wife Susan Downey are soon to be parents to their second child.
"Yo. Susan. Me. Baby. Girl. November. Scorpio?" the 49-year-old actor said in his tweet, ABC News said.
The couple's new addition to their family joins their first born son Exton Elias.
Exton Elias was born in February 7, 2012, following "Iron Man" cast Robert Downey Jr.s' son Indio Falconer Downey from ex-wife Deborah, E! Online said.
The A-list action star also took to Facebook his announcement as he said, "Um. I don't know if it's a 'man's world', but I'm certain women run it. Susan and I are therefore delighted to announce we are expecting a baby. Girl. November. Rdj."
In an interview with Esquire after Exton was born, he told the magazine that he don't want to be a hero to his son.
"I would like to be a very real human being. That's hard enough," he said.
He added, "Hero, to me, is not applicable to the human experience."
"Iron Man" cast Robert Downey Jr. recently made it in the news with son Indio after the latter was arrested due to cocaine and drug paraphernalia possession. The 20-year-old son of the "Sherlock Holmes" actor was nabbed by authorities in his car in June 29.
Robert Downey Jr. himself also struggled from drug abuse but has already undergone rehabilitation.
"Unfortunately there's a genetic component to addiction and Indio has likely inherited it. There is a lot of family support and understanding, and we're all determined to rally behind him and help him become the man he's capable of being," Robert Downey Jr. said in a statement to US Weekly.
