Brazil players as well as their coach are moving on from their catastrophic loss during their semi finals match against Germany. The team is focusing their attention to their last game at this year's World Cup.
Brazil had a hard time fighting the now much stronger team in Germany. Germany made a back to back goal during the first half of the tournament which was hard for Brazil to overcome. Brazil struggled during their semi finals match against Germany which ended in a 7-1 finals core.
Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari said that their main focus right now is to win the third place game so that they can give fans a reason to celebrate.
He said "Life goes on, we need to look forward to our next goal, and our next goal is to win the match for third place. We have to play it. It has become our main goal."
Scolari knew that the 7-1 loss against Germany will hunt them forever but it is his responsibility to give hope to the team and ensure that they get passed their feeling of desolation saying "The players' lives won't end because of this loss. It happened and from now on they will continue being the players that they are." He continued "They will continue playing for Brazil and we will continue to be one of the best teams in the world. Probably many of these players will play for Brazil in 2018."
The team has been feeling the result of the semi finals game during their training camp as there were only a few fans waiting to see them. There was even a fan that carried a banner with the word "shame" written in it. There were also other fans who booed when their bus left the airport.
The Brazilian Team was deflated but they need to show their professionalism amidst the challenge. midfielder Fernandinho said "We have to be professional and we have to show our character. We need to get through these three days and play well on Saturday to try to finish third."
With this renewed strength, will Brazil be able to stand up from such a devastating loss? The whole world will soon find out as the team is off to face Netherlands on Saturday.
