Sharon Stone Dating: 'Basic Instinct' Star Announces She's On The Market; Says Her Kids Are Old Enough For Her To 'Feel Comfortable Dating'

"Basic Instinct" star, Sharon Stone, announced in an interview with Extra on Wednesday in Los Angeles that she's currently "available" for dating. She also talked about her charity work in the non-profit organization, "Sharity."

The 56-year-old beauty became a Hollywood sex symbol through her sexy image in the 1992 film, "Basic Instinct."

"I am available for dating," the actress announced to Extra's Mario Lopez and her admirers in LA.

"What's happened is my kids have reached the age where I feel comfortable to date. I didn't want to date when they were little... who needs a bunch of people running in and out of their lives?" she told Lopez when she was asked about her love life. "Now I feel comfortable dating,"

The star's son, Roan, from her six-year marriage to journalist Phil Bronstein is already 14 years old this year. While her adopted children, Laird and Quinn are nine and eight years old respectively. She adopted Laird in 2005 and Quinn in 2006.

She also talked about her charity work with the non-profit group "Sharity." The group allows celebrities to auction off their clothes, with the profits going directly to charities.

She is auctioning off her designer clothes and other outfits to fund a peace movement in the Middle East. She is selling more than a dozen items including her custom-made Fendi fur jacket and Salvadore Ferragamo shoes. The items for auction can be found in the Sharity website.

"We have amazing people participating in this, and it's just so exciting," Stone said about her charity work.

Dressed in a cream top, black pants and green and black peeptoes, the iconic star graciously signed autographs for some admirers who came to Extra's set in Universal Studios. She accessorized her look with hoop earrings and a ring, as well as a pair of mint sunglasses.
