Since Tom Cruise's upcoming film is still on its planning stages, most of the "Mission Impossible 5" latest news will be about the cast. We have been hearing rumors that the star of "The White Queen" will joining the movie; and that is true.

Swedish actress Rebecca Ferguson landed the female lead role in the fifth installment of "Mission Impossible". The 30-year old has won the "Best Leading Lady" award at the History Is Present Awards for period-based dramas and a "Best Actress" nomination for Miniseries at the Golden Globe Awards last year.

Apart from "The White Queen", Ferguson will also star alongside Dwayne Johnson in "Hercules", which will be released in theaters on July 25. This time, the London-based actress will share some scenes, and maybe even intimate ones, with Tom Cruise.

The "Mission Impossible 5" latest news surely got the fans of Rebecca Ferguson excited because this will be a major role for her and could open more Hollywood movie opportunities for her. However, the producers haven't confirmed yet what exactly will be her role in the film.

For all we know, she could end up being one of the villainess and Paula Patton may become Tom Cruise's love interest. Aside from Ferguson, Alec Baldwin may also join the cast and his role could be the head of the CIA.

According to Deadline, "Alec Baldwin is in negotiations to join Tom Cruise in Paramount and Skydance's next installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise." The 56-year old actor has appeared in several Hollywood movies such as "It's Complicated" with Meryl Streep and "Blue Jasmine" with Cate Blanchett so he will be a great addition to the film.

Baldwin even worked with Tom Cruise before in the musical "Rock of Ages" wherein he played the owner of the bar while the 52-year old actor portrayed the role of a rockstar. We really hope that he will agree to appear in the fifth installment of "Mission: Impossible" and join Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg.

We will continue to update you with "Mission Impossible 5" latest news and maybe next time we will hear Alec Baldwin confirm his role in the movie.
