There was a time when all PCs came in as desktop computers. Laptops were introduced, and then consumer electronics started to take smaller, more compact shapes yearly. Tango is a breakthrough of the desktop's evolution along that graph.

The concept of the Tango PC was first unveiled backDetails on in January, with the Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign coming after. The Tango PC did not have the luck of being considered by an established company with resources available to spend on uncanny R&D concepts. Instead, the inventors turned to consumer interest.

The Indiegogo campaign did not do well enough to get all the Tango PC off the ground. However, they are able to get full funding with Kickstarter after that

The features are definitely great for something you can slip in a pocket and take wherever you go, like having a second wallet. The Tango PC runs on an AMD A6-5200 2 GHz quad-core APU, with integrated graphics that is better than Intel chips.

The processor is paired with andjustable memory. Though the PC would usually come with 4GB of RAM, you can still go for 2GB or 8GB as well. 32GB SSD is the lowest storage capacity, but up to 1TB of storage is available for a higher cost.

Furthermore , the Tango PC has a headphone jack, Wi-Fi, one USB 3.0, three USB 2.0, and a HDMI video output. Finally, users can install Windows 8, Windows 7, Linux, or any other operating system.

The possibility of carrying desktop-level performance in a 7-ounce / 200 gram case is pretty hard to pass up. The Tango PC can be used as an office tool, an entertainment device, or as a powerful gaming PC.

The Tango PC can be prchased with or without the docking station ($89-99 / €89-99). The docks will let the cartridge-sized system play the role of IPTV boxes or older gaming consoles.
