"Doctor Who" season 8 spoilers revealed a fierce-looking Peter Capaldi as BBC released a promo photo, as showrunner Steven Moffat said that the Scottish actor will get a big introduction as the latest introduction of the time traveller.

Jenna Coleman (Clara Oswald) revealed "Doctor Who" season 8 spoilers when she told InsideTV that the new Doctor "is a lot fiercer."

"This man is a total adrenaline junkie," she added.

Executive producer Steven Moffat also dished out "Doctor Who" season 8 spoilers as he said that Peter Capaldi will get a "big introduction" as the new Doctor.

"There's no point pretending that it's not the most interesting, dynamic thing that you've got to sell in that first episode. It's going to be about 'What's he like? How's he different?' I suppose it feels a bit like a character piece, but there's plenty of action and nonsense and jeopardy, as there ever is in Doctor Who," he said, per DigitalSpy.

Earlier, BBC warned fans that "Doctor Who" season 8 spoilers might be proliferating on the Internet after five of the scripts were leaked.

In a statement, the British network confirmed the "Doctor Who" scripts leak as it is "currently investigating the security issue" for season 8 of the series. It also said that the materials that made their way online are still "unfinished."

"We deeply regret this and apologise to all the show's fans, the BBC and the cast and crew who have worked tirelessly making the series," the statement said.

It also issued a plea "to anyone who might have any of this material and spoilers associated with it not to share it with a wider audience so that everyone can enjoy the show as it should be seen on 23rd August."

According to Mashable, the "Doctor Who" scripts leak involved five materials from season 8, starring Peter Capaldi, and the apparent breach occurred when they were sent via email "between BBC bureaus."
