The author of the "Winds of Winter," George R.R. Martin admitted he's upset with fans who speculate that he will die even before he finishes all of his books.
In a recent interview with Swiss newspaper Tages-Anzeiger, Martin gave audiences who have been asking about his health and death, the dirty finger.
The 65-year-old author said, "Well, I find that question, you know, pretty offensive frankly, when people start to speculate about my death and my health. So f*ck you to those people."
Fans of Martin has long been talking about his death on various social media websites and have expressed their unwarranted concern over the possibility of him not being able to finish his books, including the "Game of Thrones," "Winds of Winter" and more.
On Twitter, @JGCH_ wrote, "Why are people worried George R R Martin will die before he finishes the books? Is he really ill or something? What's up with that?"
The Los Angeles Times recently published a tweet that read, "This just in: George R R Martin is not dying, and 'Game of Thrones' leads Emmys."
Despite feeling offended by all the health and death speculations, Martin admitted that he couldn't move as quickly as he once did, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
"I'm 65 years old now, I've been writing professionally since 1971. I know my working methods. I don't work when I travel, I don't work in hotels, I don't work on airplanes, I don't work on trains. I work at home, when I have a nice, big uninterrupted block of time in which I can really lose myself in my work."
Martin also admitted that his writing pace will not change just because his readers are growing impatient over a new book's release, Mother Jones reported.
In the past, he could finish one book within a span of a year, but these days, due to his age, and the popularity of "Game of Thrones" on HBO, Martin confessed he couldn't do so anymore, the same publication confirmed.
