Chad Mendes criticized José Aldo anew right after "Junior" announced that he is pulling out from their title fight rematch after suffering another injury.

The challenger made an appearance at Ariel Helwani's The MMA Hour show to express his sentiments regarding the latest developments on UFC 176, which is originally scheduled for August 2nd at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

"If Aldo can't stay healthy and is too fragile to go through a training camp, then I think it is time to step aside and let guys who are able to do that and able to push through all that stuff, to be a champ," Mendes lamented.

Chad Mendes first fought Jose Aldo at UFC 142 in January 2012 in the champion's home country of Brazil. Unfortunately for the Team Alpha Male representative, he was unable to do damage as he was knocked out at the first round by a knee with only one second left.

Since then, he has been undefeated in the UFC, which subsequently gave him the opportunity to face "Junior" once again for the belt. But Chad Mendes' frustrations on José Aldo have only grown further due to the most recent turn of events.

Company CEO Lorenzo Fertita recently announced that if José Aldo will not be able to compete any time soon, an interim title fight between Chad Mendes against either Cub Swanson or Frankie Edgar, who recently beat BJ Penn into retirement.

But despite this deal, "Money" was not able to hide his utter disappointment.

"Its so much effort, so much hard work, and now its all gone," Mendes continued. "Basically its for nothing. It's just so frustrating, the belt is right there, the game plan I'm working on, I'm basically studying for a big test and I feel like I'm so prepared, and then I don't even get to take the test."

At the end of it all, Chad Mendes did promise to emerge victorious this time around.

"Jose Aldo can't run from me forever," Mendes declared. "This fight's going to happen and I'm going to take the belt from him."
