The "19 Kids and Counting" star has contentedly establishing domestic life with his husband. The couple makes even the most boring tasks look exciting. According to ABC, the pair is using their creativity to save money.
Jill is preparing food for her husband with produce fresh from her family's garden and a recipe she found online.
The couple also eat out. They posed outside IHOP, where they indulged on a full stack of pancakes for only 56 cents in honor IHOP's 56th birthday.
Since having a haircut can be pricey, Jill also gave her husband a haircut to save more.
Prior to the wedding, the couple's practical approach to life has been evident with the resourceful wedding registry list that they have provided. The Arkansas-based couple requested for things that they can use every day which includes pliers, screwdrivers, cereals and noodles.
According to US Weekly, the "19 Kids & Counting" star tweeted out a link earlier this year to the couple's wedding website, "which features links to their registries at Amazon, Walmart, and Bed Bath & Beyond." Reportedly, the couple requested for normal household paraphernalia like towels, bowls and silverwares. However, there are also more unusual requests like cereal, including Raisin Bran, Froot Loops, Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme, Berry Colossal Crunch, and Fruity Dyno-Bites. They've also registered for Instant Noodles and gift cards to restaurants like Qdoba Mexican Grill, Buffalo Wild Wings, Papa John's Pizza, Subway, Starbucks, and Panera Bread.
They even listed more costly items which include the usual kitchen appliances, a Yamaha keyboard, a digital camera, and two firearms, a 12-gauge shotgun and a Smith & Wesson rifle.
The reality show star seems to enjoy the new season of her life. She tells People how rewarding her husband and wedded life is.
"I have the most amazing guy," Jill tells PEOPLE. "Everything about being married is awesome."
