The Brazilian team would always have the bad guy when it comes to pinpointing someone to blame on a defeat. Brazilian player, Fred, seemed to has been blamed on the loss of his team to Germany, 7-1, in the semi-final. He came out as the culprit in the loss in spite of committing little error in Brazil.

Fred, a center-forward for Brazil will be leaving the team soon. This is as per desire of coach, Luiz Felipe Scolari. Fred will not be playingFred, Brazil with the team on the playoff in Saturday against Netherlands in the tournament. The host team needed to eliminate Fred so they can regain their professionally positive image in the eyes of fans and experts.

Scolari told reporters with regards to the unexpected elimination, "Our commitment is valid to the end of the World Cup."

This disappointing elimination was not what Fred was expecting. He was a favourite among the tournament's fans, particularly the female ones. His pictures were all over the billboards around Brazil.

Fred's negative move has disappointed fans. Spectators were hoping for a desirable action from Fred, to lead his team to victory, and not on the slump.

Fred disappointedly said after the defeat to Germany," It leaves a scar that we'll have to carry with us for the rest of our lives." Fred's age also came into question. At 30, Fred was one of the oldest players in the tournament. Several experts were expecting that an older Fred would have had more knowledge instilled in leading his team to victory. This incident just proved this theory wrong.
