Neil Patrick Harris was so furious during his Thursday night performance for "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" that he actually spat water on a woman who was constantly taking pictures of him.

An anonymous source told Page Six that halfway through the popular Broadway show, Neil Patrick Harris, was wearing a full transgender costume as he was portraying the role of Hedwig the transgender, "leaned down into the audience and asked a woman, 'Are you drunk?' She waved her arms in the air and everyone assumed it was part of the act. Neil then berated her for taking photos, telling the audience she was sitting in seat 3A. He then sniffed, 'I hate you,' and turned on his high heels."

Neil Patrick Harris was actually supposed to spit water at the audience. This stunt is actually part of the a scene in the play, but, instead, "he spat the water straight at the woman." The source further added, "It was all a bit frosty and awkward. His anger was spectacular, especially the 'I hate you" bit. The audience went into stunned silence. You could cut the atmosphere with a knife!"

However, a representative of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" has stated that, "There is always an element of audience interaction in each show, and it is all in character."

Apart from his Broadway career in "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," Neil Patrick Harris is also part of the cast of the upcoming movie, "Gone Girl." With this particular movie, the "How I Met Your Mother" star has upped his game and goes all out with a relatively creepy character. In "Gone Girl," he will be portraying the role of a sunken-eyed character.

This movie is actually based on Gillian Flynn's bestselling novel, which has the same title. In the trailer, audiences will be able to take a sneak peek into the character Neil Patrick Harris is playing, Desi Collings, who happens to be the ex-boyfriend of Amy Dunne, played by Rosamund Pike, who has apparently gone missing.
