The games started off full of anticipation as Brazil and Netherlands face each other vying for the third place position of the FIFA World Cup. Both teams have found their reason to fight and to win but in the end only one will survive. At first Netherland found no use in fighting for the third place but later on realized that they needed to win the game in order to go home from the tournament without any losses. On the other hand, from the start, Brazil has always been determined to play the game. After losing from Germany on a pitiful 7-1 finish, they found the third place as their road to redemption from a crowd full of passion and hope.
But as every game in the World Cup, there will only be one to win the third place and for this round, Netherlands emerge as the superior team. Netherlands walk in to the field with renewed confidence while Brazil came with all they've got. But in the end, Netherlands beat Brazil in a 3-1 finish. Brazil's loss was not as bad as what happened during their fight against Germany but alas, they still loss. Most of the crowd felt the pain of seeing their home team gets trampled on and due to frustration, booed Brazil when the game ended.
During the first of the game, Netherlands quickly accumulated two goals during the 3rd minute then followed by another one in the 17 minute. The first goal came from Netherlands forward, Robin van Persie. It was then followed by AFC Ajax defender Daley Blind.
Things then begun to deteriorate in Brazil's side as they had numerous opportunities to land a goal but none ever materialized. The second half was a long and grueling process from both ends. The ball was tossed on either side not until another goal suffices on the 90+1 minute courtesy of Netherlands midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.
Brazil was not able to cope up with the game against Netherlands. It was tough seeing such a talented team go down without a fight. The Oranje had the balls rolling to their benefit and with this they clenched another achievement for the team.
