It is official. Everyone is watching the World Cup.

USA astronauts, Reid Wiseman and Steve Swanson and German astronaut, Alexander Gerst just uploaded a Youtube video (seen above) saying they are watching the World Cup Finals between Argentina and Germany from outer space.

The said International Space Station is situated some 230 miles above the Earth.

Lucky enough, German Gerst's nation brought home the World Cup successfully and historically after winning 1-0 against Argentina in the finals last Sunday, June 13.

"Hello. I'm Steve Swanson, current commander of the International Space Station Expediction 40. I'm with my crewmates, Alez Gerst of Germany, Reid Wiseman from the Unites States. We'd like to say a few words," said Swanson in an introduction in the video.

"We want to wish all the teams and fans in the ground in Brazil a great World Cup. Have fun and have peaceful games. May the best win then and viel Gluck." said Gerst the Germany fan.

"Have fun, play hard, and we'll be watching on the International Space Station," said Reid the American on the other hand.

The rest of the video showed them playing football (or soccer) in zero gravity with a miniature soccerball. But it looks so suhweeeeet!

According to NASA, it is very important that astronauts should get a lot of exercise while in space. If they stop doing so, muscles will experience a phenomenon called atrophy, which may cause severe damages to your body when you get back to Earth.

In this light, soccer looks like a fun way to get exercise from during space missions. However, you may need to have a kind of jetpack steering device or magnetized shoes to keep you from playing in zero gravity.

Plus, you would look extra cool, too.
