"Star Wars 7" rumors pointed to the amount of litter the cast and crew left behind on Puzzlewood in the Dean Forest, Gloucestershire, which left fans giddy. Meanwhile, a new British poll revealed that Darth Vader is a much more popular character than Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia.

In a series of photos published on MailOnline, the Puzzlewood forest seemed untouched if not for the clues that the cast and crew have left behind, which triggered "Star Wars 7" rumors on how the location will figure out into the film next year.

"Wires, plugs and ramps haphazardly litter parts of the forest floor, with some wasting no time casting an eye over the scene, eager to try and work out where the actors and actresses might have been filmed," the tabloid said.

Earlier this month, "Clerks" director Kevin Smith fanned the "Star Wars 7" rumors when he shared his visit on the set during the Q&A at the Neuchatel International Film Festival in Switzerland.

"So we go to the set, and they're actually shooting - and this is what I can't tell you what they were shooting - but what I saw I absolutely loved. It was tactile, it wasn't a series of f----ng green and blue screens in which later on digital characters would be added. It was there, it was happening," he said.

Meanwhile, a new poll conducted by YouGov revealed that Darth Vader has trumped Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia as Britain's most favorite original characters.

Darth Vader received 13 percent of the votes, against Luke Skywalker (Mark Hammill) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), who both received only six percent each. Han Solo led all the cast of favored characters with 27 percent.

The poll also said that nearly 4 in 10 Britons will come to the cinema to see "Star Wars 7."
