Rock royalty Kelly Osbourne's new tattoo shocked the online world just recently when she posted a photo of it on her Instagram page, reportedly disappointing her family, an ABC News report said.

The 29-year-old's new ink reads "STORIES", and appears at the left side of Kelly's head.

No exact meaning has been given behind Kelly Osbourne's new tattoo. The TV star / fashion designer / singer refuses to disclose the story behind it, saying: "It means something special to me that people will find out later."

She did, however, admit in an appearance on "Live With Kelly And Michael", that her rock-and-roll reality TV family are not too happy about it, particularly her 61-year-old reality star mum Sharon.

"None of my family are happy with it, but that's okay, they are entitled to their opinion," Kelly said.

She explained, "My mom will always see me as the pretty little blonde girl, that my hair used to be the color of gold. My natural hair color is blonde and when I go in the sun, it turns this gold color, my mom wants me to remain like a little tiny doll, like I was when I was a little girl and I'm not."

Kelly added: "All moms want their daughters to be perfect, having a tattoo on the side of your head and a mohawk isn't exactly every mother's dream and I can understand that".

An MTV report also stated that Kelly Osbourne's new tattoo supposedly did not hurt the TV personality as much as her previous tattoos, located on her wrist and feet.

Kelly's current project include playing Disney villain Hildy Gloom on the new TV show "7D". The show is a new take on the 7 Dwarfs from the classic fairy tale "Snow White".

Kelly is also a regular on the hit E! Network talk show "Fashion Police".
