A new "The Walking Dead" season 5 teaser photo has emerged, this time showing one of the show's most interesting and well-loved characters gagged and seemingly looking to heaven as if awaiting death!
"Daryl Dixon" is on of those bad ass survivor types that you hate at first and get to love towards the end. Losing him will simply be a tragedy, to say the least. In the new 'Walking Dead' snippet, Norman Reedus' character looks like he is really suffering. He has bruises and scrapes all over his face. There is a gag in his mouth.
We know that AMC is looking to kill off some major characters in the new season but we didn't think it would someone as major as Daryl! Is this really the end of Daryl Dixon?
"The Walking Dead" season 4 finale left us at Terminus where there is a huge mystery surrounding the people who claim to be providing a haven for the survivors.
Creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman previously told Entertainment Weekly radio that Daryl will die in season five. Could this be really true?
"In our premiere episode of season 5 we're going to give a ton of answers of who the people of Terminus are, what they're doing, why they're doing it, what's going on with them," Robert explained. "And by the end of that episode you're going to have a much better understanding of what's going on with them and why they're so important to the show."
For season 5, Gareth, played by actor Andrew J. West, is the new super-villain and a wild card at that, since there is no exact comic book equivalent to him.
"We always come back with a bang, and we say where everyone has been," said actress Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie Greene. "I think what's awesome about this one is we left the group in such turmoil at the end of Season 4, so you really are on tenterhooks to see what happens - and what happens is so flippin' cool."
Norman Reedus shares how disturbing the coming episodes will be. "We were doing Episode 1 and Andrew [Lincoln] and I were sitting next to each other and I was saying, 'Man they're never going to air any of this on television, this is too crazy.' And then we were thinking about it and we we're like, 'We've said that every year and it makes it to television.' This season is going to be pretty nuts," he said.
