It appears as if the Drug Enforcement Administration is still after the NFL this time. A New York Daily News source said that,
"They want to find out who provided and distributed the drugs to football players,"
Just last week, though, a federal judge has granted a benefit for several former NFL players for concussion-incited damages.
It seems like now; the Drug Enforcement Administration is dealing with another issue, that once and for all, needs to be settled as soon as possible.
The official attorney representing the ex-NFL players, Steve Silverman, released a statement to the New York Daily News, saying:
"The allegations in our lawsuit, that the NFL has violated state and federal drug laws, have been confirmed by over 1,300 former NFL players,"
"We are pleased to learn that the DEA and United States Department of Justice are also taking our clients' allegations seriously and are actively protecting the welfare of NFL players."
This investigation started thirty years ago, and seemed like, has yet to reach a peaceful and amicable settlement, once and for all.
As per reported by the New York Daily News, this lawsuit stated the following:
"One former trainer has described the 1980s and 1990s as (the) Wild West in terms of the NFL monitoring the medications provided to its players,"
This lawsuit should have been resolved years, or appropriately said, decades earlier. The case only stains the mood and motivation of the players to give their best shot during matches.
It will be of tremendous help if each party hears out one another's argument in order to settle the issue as soon as possible.
