There will be a new 20th Century Fox theme park to be opened in South Korea. According to 20th Century Fox Consumer Products, the proposed park will be in cooperation with Village Roadshow, and the province of South Gyeongsang. The new theme park is planned to be a part of the Undong Entertainment complex.
South Gyeongsang is located in the south eastern part of South Korea, and its most famous cities are Busan and Ulsan.
Fox World Korea will be the second Fox World Park to debut in the world. Last December, it was announced that the first Fox World Park will debut in Malaysia. Construction also began last December on the $300 million dollar park that will be part of Malaysia's Resorts World Genting.
The Fox World Park will open its doors in Malaysia in 2016, and it will feature attractions based on famous projects such as "Ice Age," "Rio," "Alien vs Predator," "Planet of the Apes" and "Night At The Museum."
Fox also released a sketch of the roller coaster ride based on the movie Ice Age.
"People from around the world will gather here in Malaysia to become part of the story and to experience the magic and adventure of their favorite Fox properties," says Jeffrey Godsick, president of Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products.
"Having the distinction of being the first of its kind in the world, Twentieth Century Fox World will be built on a grand scale that consists of unique and creative concepts featuring more than 25 rides and attractions of a cinematic nature," said Genting Malaysia's chairman and chief executive. Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay. "The theme park will definitely pave the way for continued growth of Resorts World Genting with a next-level family entertainment experience which will attract tourism dollars to Malaysia."
