New updates for the fifth installment of Transformers movies have been revealed as new characters have been revealed and two former cast members rumored to return to the franchise.
According to reports from The Latino Post, former cast member Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox are rumored to make a comeback in Transformers 5. Both LaBeouf and Fox's characters Sam Whitwicky and Mikaela Banes were the first two humans that befriended the Autobots on earth and eventually became their allies in their fight against the Decepticons in the first Transformers movie and in the sequel Revenge of the Fallen.
Megan Fox is currently starring in another upcoming movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as the news reporter April O'Neil. MoviePilot.com conducted an interview with Ms. Fox regarding her return in the Transformers franchise.
"I'm not sure if I'll return. As long as things are good between everyone and Shia returns with me I'd like to see us partner up with the new cast like a crossover."
Shia LaBeouf also commented on the possible Transformers comeback.
"It would be good to do another film but I doubt with the new changes since the third film that Megan could return you know, it might be a love war if me or Rosie both return you know its not that i don't think about it." He adds, "But no, I highly doubt I'll be back for another one. I'll do another Michael Bay film but not Transformers."
Screenrant reports that Transformers producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura doesn't want to get into details about the movie.
It's an exhausting process to make these movies. The scale of them is so enormous. It really does tax everybody and our tendency is to finish one at a time, recover, and then begin talking."
Meanwhile, three characters in the Transformers mythos will likely join Transformers 5. These characters are Rodimus Prime, Vector Prime and Unicron.
The Inquisitor reports that these three are included in movie due a fan poll in an allege Transformers Facebook page. The website stated that Transformers 5 will likely focus on the origins of the Transformer race in Cybertron, and not to mention the Unicron saga.
Unicron is the Transformer god of destruction and the twin brother/arch enemy of Primus. He is feared by many and has consumed many planets and civilizations throughout the universe, which earned him several titles such as the Planet Eater, the Chaos Bringer, and the Lord of Chaos.
Vector Prime on the other hand, is one of the original thirteen transformers of Cybertron. He once held the Matrix of Leadership and is currently the sole guardian of time and space. Vector Prime first appeared in the Transformers: Cybertron animated series as an ally of the Optimus Prime and the Autobots, as they searched for the Cyber Planet Keys to stop the Grand Blackhole from consuming their homeworld.
Lastly, Rodimus Prime is Optimus Prime's successor and next bearer of the Matrix of Leadership. He was once known as Hot Rod before Optimus passed on his leadership duties to him and eventually became the next leader of the Autobots.
Transformers 5's release date is set on 2016. Will Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox return to franchise?
