The Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana rematch is scheduled for September 13, in Las Vegas, and challenger "El Chino" has spoken about his thoughts on the fight.

In a report by Bad Left Hook, the Argentine boxer spoke in front of a crowd during the pre-fight press tour in Washington DC, saying he will not be changing anything with his strategy coming into the fight.

"I'm not going to change anything whatsoever," he said about the Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana rematch. "I work with Robert, and he's going to come up with the game plan."

"No, I'm not going to change my style," he added. "That's how I felt the first time, and the second time, I feel the same."

During the first Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana fight in May, "El Chino" pressed the action and went forward for the first half of the fight. The said strategy did place "Money" in a difficult spot by the ropes, where he was bombarded by Macros Maidana's barrage of punches.

"El Chino" believes that using the same strategy can work better for the Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana rematch, but it will all rely on how he readies himself for another big fight for his young career.

"It's all in the preparation," Maidana said. "I'm not going to change my style. I just have to fine tune a few things, and to be able to get my punches off a little better, and I think that will make the difference."

One issue that arose during the first Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana fight was the gloves that "El Chino" intended to use. "Money" objected, mainly for its purported lack of padding. The same glove issue arose for the rematch, but for Marcos Maidana, it won't be a problem.

"I want to use my gloves," Maidana said. I don't hit that hard. I don't hit as hard as Canelo."

"But the gloves are not a big issue," he added. "I'm going to beat him no matter what gloves I use."
