The hottest debated issue recently within the Minnesota Timberwolves management is whether or not to escalate pursuing a trade-off against Kevin Love for the team. The NBA pros have announced their desire to hire Love to replace Cleveland Cavaliers celebratory player, Andrew Wiggins.
Questions still abound as to the risks this trade-off would eventually pose, in the near future.
Cavs coach, David Blatt, had this to say, when he talked to the press:
"There's no reason or cause for worry on his part because Andrew's not going anywhere, as far as I know and as far as the club has expressed"
An Eastern Conference representative said that the planned trade-off is too early. The Cavaliers needs to first find out if Wiggins has the talent to shoot guard with Irving and Le Bron James, before pushing through with a final decision.
The representative was quoted as saying this with regards to the issue, while keeping his identity discreet, for the purpose of internal NBA trade-off confidentiality that needs to be preserved:
"LeBron and Kyrie will handle the bulk of the scoring,"
"If Wiggins can score, leave the other guys like Andy and Tristan to do the dirty work."
A rep from another team disagreed.
On the condition of anonymity, the rep said that he thought the Cavs team wasn't thinking straight when they picked Wiggins in favour of Jabari Parker. He thought the Cavs should make a decision as soon as possible if they plan to push through with the trade off.
He had this to say about Wiggins:
"He's soft and he can't shoot."
"Parker is the better player. Make that deal today."
