Germany Football Team Given the Hero’s Welcome

Germans gave their World Cup Champions a big homecoming party after winning the golden trophy in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Thousands of German fans waited and cheered at the Berlin's Brandenburg Gate as they anticipated the arrival of the German Football team bringing home the coveted World Cup Trophy.

Germany coach Joachim Loew talked to more than 250,000 supporters that they are sharing the recognition and the title with his players saying "We are all world champions. Of course we are all overjoyed now to be with the fans."

It was the team's captain Philipp Lahm who lifted the golden trophy in front of a jubilant crowd. He said "I've been dreaming about this since I was a child" as he passed the trophy to his team mates.

The only person, who scored the winning goal, Mario Goetze, said that they have played an amazing tournament as fans chanted his personal alias "Super Mario." He added "It's an incredible feeling."

Mario Goetze came in to the game against Argentina as a substitute to striker Miroslav Klose. He came in during the 88th minute during a game which was deadlock to a score 0-0.

The perfect goal happened in the 113th minute when German attacking midfielder Mario Götze finally made the single most important goal for the team. Gotze received the ball inside the penalty box, had the ball to his chest then passed to his feet then shoot the ball at the right side.

Midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger appeared on the stage with the national flag draped on his shoulder and sporting a bandage on his lower eye which was due to an injury he received during the final clash said "Now we finally have the damn thing."

Team Germany was head over heels happy with the result of the final match against Argentina singing "this is how the Germans win; this is how the Germans win."

Germany has won their fourth World Cup title at the Maracana Stadium. They waited 24 years before they were able to see the light of the golden trophy. IT was a well deserved win coming from an underdog team. This makes Germany the team to beat in the coming FIFA World Cup.
