Kobe Bryant won't probably win another title but don't tell the "Black Mamba" that as the LA Lakers super guard takes motivation from the recent championship run by the San Antonio Spurs.

A TMZ cameraman caught up with LA Lakers legend Jerry West who asserted that Kobe Bryant won't win another title before his career winds down.

"He probably won't win another title in his career but it's important that he [enjoy] his time here in Los Angeles and that's what he's doing and I'm sure he will stay here," Jerry West told a TMZ cameraman.

Coming off the worst loss of the franchise, the LA Lakers are looking to reboot, with their leader still very much on board. However, Kobe Bryant is the unknown factor right now even if he insisted that his Achilles and knee injuries are fully healed.

The Dime magazine said that Jerry West's comments about Kobe Bryant won't win another title "isn't a damning testimony that will infuriate Bryant."

"While a healthy Bryant will make things better next year, they're unlikely to compete for a championship," it said, even if the MVP is likely to end his career with the Los Angeles Lakers after signing a $48.5 million extension.

However, Kobe Bryant in an interview with Fifa.com said that next season will be different for the Lakers as he takes inspiration from the championship of the Spurs, which allowed his contemporary Tim Duncan to equal the Black Mamba's five-rings count.

"Well deserved. It really is a lesson on how you get guys to play together if they share one goal. I am very happy for the Spurs. It is a motivation for us. Hopefully we can do the same next season," he said.

According to Los Angeles Daily, Kobe Bryant has been setting the tone for next season as he chases another title.

"He was telling me to get in the gym and work hard. They're (NBA media) already counting us out," Lakers guard Nick Young told the publication.
