Phoenix Suns Found an Instinctive Scorer in TJ Warren

Phoenix Suns has set their eyes on 20 year old small forward TJ Warren who has been raking good reviews during their match against Philadelphia 76ers. Warren was picked 14th overall in the 2014 NBA draft by the Phoenix Suns.

Warren is a midrange shooter during his college years but a lot of doubts came in during the NBA draft if he would be drafted as a lot of NBA teams are not inclined to choosing midrange jumpers. But it seems like Warren is a perfect match for the Suns.

He played for the Suns in last Tuesday's game against Philadelphia where he had 38 points that helped the team win the game. He had an almost perfect shot besides one.

According to Warren "For me it's just running the floor hard and having that knack to finish in transition..."He continued "It's just finding my sweet spots, really."

Suns Summer League coach Mike Longabardi talked about Warrens performance in the game saying "He's got (scoring) down, that midrange (jumper). He's got a good instinct for the ball, he got a couple rebounds. And he really does well in transition, we get the rebound... and advance it to him and he's great."

In the three games that Warrens has played in Las Vegas, he averaged 21 points a game shooting 59 percent.

The young player sported a puffy right eye due to an elbow to the eye and was only able to play seven minutes in their second game.

With this, Warren said "I think (the Bucks) Johnny O'Bryant came down and elbowed me, I had to get five stitches. It's kind of rough... I wanted to come back in (that game) but it wasn't happening. It got really bad, I iced it all day yesterday, the day we had off, icing it more tonight...." He added "I got used to it. In the beginning it was a little tough getting used to it, but it became easier."

Warren has a bright career in the NBA being able to deliver shots after shots are essential in the league. According to Longabardi "We knew what we were getting when we drafted him - a scorer."
