Undefeated boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr will face Argentina's Marcos Maidana on a rematch scheduled on September 13 at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. The said match will put the 147-pound World Boxing Association and World Boxing Council titles on the line.

With regards to this, May weather said "He wanted a rematch and I gave it to him. "Don't complain about the gloves. He says he won the first fight so do it again with the same gloves."

It can be remembered that both fighters had a disagreement a day before their first fight last May 3. It was when Mayweather objected to Maidana requests to use a 227 gram gloves. For Mayweather, the eight ounce gloves didn't have enough padding.

He said "This is not a street fight; this is not an MMA fight. My health and my career after boxing is what's important. I could hit this guy without gloves and he could never walk again. We use gloves to protect ourselves."

During the said fight, Mayweather won the fight via unanimous decision with one of the judges voting for a draw. Mayweather, who also is nicknamed as "The Best Ever (TBE)" has 46 records in his boxing career with no losses all win ended with a KO.

It was because of this reason that Mayweather chose to agree to the rematch requested by Maidana's trainer Robert Garcia. Mayweather was criticized for not doing his best during their fight. He saw the first part of the match against Maidana as a smear to his clean record as a boxer. He said "This guy won three or four rounds against me and that never happens"

On the other hand, Marcos Maidana has complained of Mayweather's style of boxing and accused him of playing dirty. He said "He is a bit of a dirty fighter. He likes to use his elbows, get them in your throat and for some reason the referees let him get away with it."

But Mayweather defended his counter punching style saying "I am almost 20 years in and I am still sharp and still going strong. I think all those other fighters should have been more defensive fighters."
